Purpose of Position:

Coordinate the activities of Tricont Trucking safety. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others. The Transportation Assistant also plays a vital role in ensuring the company's continued success by ensuring they are dependable, focused on safety and to be flexible and cooperative

Accountabilities:

• Assist with Month end closing procedures.
• Prepares and records assigned journal entries.
• Reviews for accuracy and corrects posting entries.
• Prepares variance analysis report monthly actual vs weekly and forecast.
• Prepares monthly forecast package.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
• Performs other accounting/financial duties as requested.
• Assist with the preparation of financial and Ad Hoc reports as needed.
• Complete special projects as required.

Minimum Skills Required:

• 4-year College Degree (Accounting, Business or similar) from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance positions as an analyst.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Well organized and able to multi-task.

Preferred:

• Experience with Planful, SAP financials and related modules.
