Rhodes Osiek Patyk & Company has been providing accounting, tax, audit, and business consulting services since 1979. We have over 44 years of experience helping clients with their business and personal needs.
We are adding a Full Time Tax Accountant to our team to help address growth in our client base and demand for services.
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience with a public accounting firm in a tax preparation role. This position will be primarily responsible for organizing tax information, working with client tax documents, preparing tax returns, and communicating issues and discrepancies with managers and partners. This role will work with other staff, managers, partners, and clients.
Summary of primary responsibilities:
· Reviewing and organizing client tax documents and information
· Preparing individual, partnership, S Corporation and C Corporation tax returns
· Communicating anomalies and missing information to managers and/or partners
· Presenting completed returns to managers and/or partners for final review
· Assisting with ad-hoc client and firm requests as necessary
Required skills and experience:
· 2 to 4 years of experience in a tax preparation role
· Experience in public accounting as a tax staff or tax senior required
· An understanding of federal taxation concepts
· Strong analytical and organization skills, and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Effective client communications, written, verbal, and in person
