Reports to the CFODuties:The Controller is a senior-level financial management position responsible foroverseeing the accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls functions within theorganization.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller plays akey role inensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information, as well as providingstrategic financial guidance to support organizational decision-making and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyzefinancial statements, including balance sheets,income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports on a regular basis. Ensureaccuracy, completeness, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP).
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performanceevaluation to assess the organization's financial health and identify opportunities forimprovement. Provide recommendations to optimize financial performance, mitigaterisks, and enhance profitability.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, andprocedures to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements, and prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
Conduct periodic auditsand risk assessments to identify control weaknesses and implement corrective actions asneeded.Accounting Operations:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accountspayable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. Ensuretimely and accurate recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and compliancewith accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
Financial Systems and Technology:
Implement, and maintain financial systems, software,and technology solutions to support efficient and accurate financial reporting, analysis,and decision-making. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices infinancial management and accounting.
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to theaccountingteam. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuousimprovement. Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback topromoteprofessional growth and development.
Audit:
Serve as lead contact/liaison with external auditorsAdhoc Reporting/Duties: Support CFO with additional reporting tasks and duties asassigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
