    Summary
    Our client is is a leading application Engineering Consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metro region specializing in Management Services, Technology Solutions and Facilities Services. They partner with and assist Federal, State and local government agencies; private sector Energy Services Companies (ESCOs); and Commercial entities in the design and implementation of their various Engineering and Technology related projects. Additionally, they are able to leverage an engineering team with proven technology industry experience that resulted in multi-million-dollar contracts within federal government, state & local government clients

    Responsibilities

    Our client is looking for a IT Security Architect IV to join their project-based team The IT Security Architect will be responsible for ensuring that the Commonwealth of Virginia's security requirements necessary to protect the organization's missions and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of the architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes while documenting these into a system security plan. This is a hybrid position 4 days/week onsite in Richmond, VA. This role will also:

    • Employ secure configuration management processes
    • Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition document

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of knowledge working with NIST rev. 5
    • 5+ years of knowledge of System Security Plan creation and documentation
    • 5+ years of knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security for a multi-tenant capabilities
    • 5+ years of knowledge of multi-level security systems and cross domain solutions
    • Skilled in applying and incorporating cybersecurity requirements into proposed solutions
    • Skilled to identify cybersecurity and privacy issues that stem from connections with internal and external customer and partner organizations
    • Ability to apply the methods, standards, and approaches for describing, analyzing, and documenting an organization's security architecture
    • Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience with Virginia state government desired

    Education/Certification Requirements

    • At least a High School Diploma or GED is required

    Drivers License Requirements

    • Applicants selected must have an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
