    The IO Psychologist uses principles of behavioral science to enhance and create programs to improve employee performance, productivity, development, engagement, and retention around Distributed Work. This includes developing and implementing tools, techniques, and assessments to measure skills, abilities, and interests of employees for purposes of employee development and experience for projects and programs related to Distributed Work.

    The scope of responsibility will span from research and survey design, continuous data analysis and insight identification in service of ongoing improvement of current Distributed Work programs to the implementation of new programs, from optimizing anchor weeks to developing approaches for fostering productivity and trust among our distributed teams. This role will work collaboratively across various areas of the institution (OSID, HR, IT, Finance) to enable implementation of St. Jude's Distributed Work strategic initiatives.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic design, development and implementation of relevant Talent development and L&D processes and interventions; Assess and measure effectiveness of interventions.
  • Participate in the execution of the Talent Strategy specific to own area (e.g., talent development, organizational effectiveness, complex training programs, performance improvement and leadership development, coaching and development planning, surveys).
  • Consult with leaders at all levels of the institution to enhance business results through key talent/L&D tools, practices and processes; Recommend best practices regarding communication as a key function for organization-wide talent/L&D initiatives.
  • Leverage data from tools like performance reviews, employee surveys and business and metrics to develop insightful solutions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external collaborators (e.g., partners, leadership, other organizational teams/peers, program teams) and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Utilize effective change management tools/ techniques to embed and sustain acceptance, adoption and usage of talent/L&D initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry latest trends and best practices through extensive research and leverage this knowledge to create innovative and practical programs at St. Jude.
  • Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Master's/ PhD, preferred.
  • Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Requirement: 5+ years of experience related to an area within Talent development or L&D.
  • Experience in having designed and led projects pertaining to areas of Talent Development.
  • Experience in developing and delivering Talent development or L&D initiatives, preferred.
  • Experience in planning and managing program delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience presenting in team meetings and/ or to senior leadership.
  • Experience with current and emerging technologies utilized in training, talent development or workforce and succession planning areas.
  • Proven expertise working with cross-functional teams and mentoring team members.
  • Experience with executing Distributed Work strategies using Workday preferred
  • Compensation

    In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $94,640 - $169,520 per year for the role of Senior IO Psychologist - Distributed Work.
