    Description

    We are searching for the ideal Nurse Practitioner to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

    When performing Disability Assessments, you will examine medical records online via a web portal and conduct a focused, in-person physical evaluation on each Veteran.

    You will electronically record the examination results required by the VA through the web portal.

    The Nurse Practitioner will NOT make disability decisions. The United States Veterans Administration is responsible for all disability determinations.

    This role specifically conducts Disability Assessments on Veterans. There will be no treatment or medication prescription involved in this role.

    On average, this position carries out Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans daily.

    Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays (8 am-4 pm)

    This is an IN-PERSON role.

    Key Attributes:

    • Interested in carrying out Independent Medical Assessments
    • Able to analyze data from medical records and examination findings to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions
    • Skilled in time management, capable of staying on track and meeting requirements
    • Must possess a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
    • Proficient in computer usage

    Requirements:

    • Must hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
    • Meets the credentialing requirements as outlined by the VA
