    Job Summary: This is a Utah-based company that builds bitcoin substations, industrial data storage systems, and other electrical control enclosures.

    Job Description: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of Hydraulic CNC-Controlled Press Brakes in a just-in-time fabrication shop with some assistance provided. He/she may be required to assist other operators as a helper on critical work or machines. This is a cross-functional position within the Fabrication department.

    Pay Rate: $20.00+/hr. DOE

    Schedule: You must be able to train on the DAY SHIFT for the next 2-3 months 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 1⁄2 lunch Monday – Friday. Once training has been completed, the set schedule will be a SWING SHIFT 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm 1⁄2 lunch Monday – Friday.

    You will receive $3.50 shift differential


    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate a hydraulic press or punch for routine established work.
    • Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
    • Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from supervisor/lead.
    • Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
    • Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.
    • Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
    • Make routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
    • Report and document primary material, production, and quality control issues.
    • Maintain performance logbooks on assigned area equipment and report deficiencies to the maintenance team.
    • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.


    Qualifications:

    • Must have strong metal press forming and essential fabrication background.
    • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations, including basic setup up is desired.
    • Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn precision measurement tools.
    • Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
    • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
    • Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
    • Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.
    • Ability to operate a forklift.
    • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
    • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 100 lbs frequently.
    • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
    • Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
    • Ability to work in a 55 – 88 degree Fahrenheit work environment.
    • Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard hat, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
