About the Department
Job Summary
This role requires an in-office presence at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
Partners with Section Administrator to oversee daily operations, supporting faculty, staff, and trainees across multiple sites.
Help establish and implement administrative and operational goals, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency.
Coordinates projects across clinical, educational, and research missions, tracking milestones and reporting progress to leadership.
Prepares, reviews, and monitors budgets, financial forecasts, and pro-forma analyses for clinical programs.
Analyzes expenditures, staffing costs, and revenue streams to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develops financial dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Provides analytic support for faculty compensation models, staffing projections, and new business opportunities.
Prepares briefing materials, presentations, and special reports for leadership, highlighting financial and operational performance.
Supports recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for staff and/or faculty, ensuring efficient processes.
Serves as a point of contact for leadership, triaging communications and ensuring timely follow-up on key priorities.
Contributes to process improvement initiatives, developing documentation, training materials, and operational guidelines.
Provides administrative support for a leader. Stays informed of activities relating to programs and initiatives, apprising the leader of issues when deemed necessary. Coordinates information flow from leader's office.
Coordinates special projects as directed by the leader. Prepares write ups for recommendations for operational and administrative problems. Manages a portion of the leader's budget, monitoring and reconciling accounts. Prepares financial and/or administrative reports.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).

Advanced degree.
Experience:
Experience with faculty compensation models, cost analysis, and pro-forma development.
Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle, and hospital/department budgeting practices.
Proficiency with data visualization and financial reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred Competencies
Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ability to build and interpret financial models, dashboards, and reports.
Knowledge of healthcare finance (e.g., cost-per-shift, provider compensation models, pro-formas).
Demonstrated ability to oversee complex administrative and clinical operations across multiple sites.
Skilled in developing, implementing, and improving processes, policies, and workflows.
Strong organizational abilities to manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Proactive in identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous or evolving situations.
Acts as a trusted partner and advisor to senior leadership.
Skilled in building relationships across faculty, staff, and hospital/departmental leadership.
Ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and proposals.
Strong listening skills and the ability to translate complex financial/operational data into accessible information for diverse audiences.
