Ochsner Health in New Orleans is actively recruiting a BC/BE PEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGIST/ONCOLOGIST, FELLOWSHIP TRAINED IN STEM CELL TRANSPLANT to join our expanding practice. Recent graduates and experienced physicians are welcomed to apply. Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience and training.

In addition to patient care, the Department of Pediatrics is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program and teaches medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Academic rank and appointment will be determined by the candidate s credentials and experience.

On top of its existing stem cell transplantation program, the Section of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology has a robust Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology program and is currently developing a Hemostasis and Thrombosis program. The section benefits from alignment with Ochsner s Adult Hematology/Oncology group, which this year announced its clinical integration with MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The Department of Pediatrics and our pediatric subspecialists (collectively, Ochsner Hospital for Children ) represent over 230 pediatric physicians. The group is the region s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric services including bone marrow transplantation, solid organ transplantation, pediatric cardiovascular surgery, and a comprehensive pediatric surgical sub-specialty group, as well as the region s only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center. We utilize a 54-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CVICU, a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, a pediatric emergency room, and dedicated, full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric and neonatal transport teams. In December 2023 Ochsner announced the building of a new separate, comprehensive, dedicated Children s Hospital on our main health sciences campus, with expected opening in 2027. This with further amplify our ability to function as a wide regional quaternary care destination center for Children across the Gulf South and the central US.
