    Position Overview:
    Shift: Embrace the flexibility of a 24-hour call with 8 hours dedicated to rounding

    Setting:
    Join a dedicated team in an Inpatient Level II nursery, fostering an environment focused on delivering exceptional pediatric care

    Duties:
    Serve as the Attending Physician for Inpatient Pediatrics and ED Consults. Your responsibilities will include rounding on inpatient pediatrics and newborns in the Family Birth Center. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in stabilizing and transferring critically ill patients.

    Full-Time Equivalent (FTE):
    Commit to a 1.0 FTE, providing you with a comprehensive and engaging work experience

    Required Procedures:
    Utilize your expertise in lumbar punctures, intubations, and umbilical lines as part of your essential duties

    EMR System:
    Navigate efficiently through the Patient Keeper EMR system, ensuring seamless integration with Meditech

    Additional Facility Insights:

    Ward Capacity:
    The facility boasts an 18-bed ward, with a significant portion of your responsibilities centered in the Level 2 Nursery

    Birth Attendance:
    While not required to be present for births, your role will involve examining and treating neonates post-delivery

    Call Back:
    Enjoy minimal call-back duties, allowing for a balanced and rewarding work-life experience

    Peds Unit Overview:
    The 6-bed Pediatric unit maintains an average daily census of 2 patients, ensuring a focused and manageable workload

    Call Requirements:
    Your commitment involves a 24-hour on-call shift, with approximately 5-6 hours spent on clinical care per day, providing ample time for teaching and additional responsibilities

    Submission Requirements:

    Board Certification:
    Mandatory for consideration, either as a requirement or eligibility within 0-5 years after residency completion

    Licensing:
    Hold an active Oregon medical license at the time of submission, showcasing your commitment to compliance

    Certifications:
    Maintain active certifications in
    ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA, and Neonatal Resuscitation

    Availability Disclosure:
    Essential to provide details on the number of shifts you can commit to per month, ensuring efficient scheduling

    Background Check:
    A clean malpractice and background history is highly preferred, reinforcing your commitment to quality care

    Local Preference:
