Extended School Year (ESY) 1:1 Program Nurse
Special Education
4 hours per day: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
June 24, July 26, 2024 (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)
DESCRIPTION: Provide student medical clearance for students enrolled in Wenatchee School District summer programs (21st Century / WVTSC / SpEd / WHS). Work with students enrolled in Wenatchee School District summer programs who are in need of medical assistance, which can be delivered in a school environment. Attend building/district/program meetings and conferences as required. Coordinate health related needs with K-5 summer program nurse. Develop health plans with the school district nurse to ensure school district policy is followed. Other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Valid State of Washington license as a registered nurse. State of Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) school nurse certification. Experience working with middle and high school students, school faculty and staff .Experience communicating with parents and the local medical community. Ability to work collaboratively with staff. May require sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions for this position.
SCHEDULE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

BENEFITS: Health insurance benefits for employees working 630 hours or more per year include medical, dental, vision, life and long term disability plans through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Retirement benefits are provided through the WA State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS).
Professional growth reimbursement, $1000/year for qualified expenses.
Paid leave benefits include 12 days of sick leave and 3 personal leave days.
Benefits may be prorated based upon the date of hire/FTE.
