    We are seeking
    an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team The ideal candidate will
    have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills,
    and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in healthcare is a
    plus. This position has the potential to be hybrid or remote, providing
    flexibility for the right candidate.
    • As a Senior Accountant, you will have the
    opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects and will play a key
    role in the success of our organization.

    The Senior Accountant is
    responsible for the daily direction and oversight of the accounting
    department. This position also ensures timely and accurate financial
    reporting, assists with general ledger conversions, completes the month-end
    close process, reconciliations, and assists the Finance Leader with special
    projects.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Supports all day-to-day accounting
    functions

    Prepares timely and accurate
    financial statements

    Performs general cost accounting

    Conducts root cause analysis to
    identify underlying issues and develop effective solutions

    Performs monthly bank
    reconciliations

    Prepares periodic balance sheets,
    income statements, and profit and loss statements.

    Tracks income, expenses, assets,
    and liabilities, and ensures that all transactions are accurately recorded

    Assists with G/L conversions

    Verifies payment of invoices
    associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the
    appropriate accounts.

    Prepares and posts month-end
    journal entries

    Facilitates and completes client
    monthly close process

    Ensures
    compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

    Performs ad-hoc reporting and
    analysis as requested

    Recruits, hires, trains, and
    supervises accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations

    Coordinates training programs for
    new staff and identifies training needs for current staff

    Ensure documentation of assigned
    accounting processes in the Accounting Department Standard Operating Procedures
    (SOPs)

    Performs Treasury Management
    activities and reporting

    Facilitates preparation and
    assistance of annual local/federal tax filings with tax preparers

    Other job-related duties as
    assigned


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in accounting,
    finance, or related discipline required

    Minimum of five years of relevant
    experience required

    Healthcare experience preferred

    QuickBooks Online / NetSuite
    experience highly preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    Thorough understanding of, and
    ability to adhere to, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    Strong attention to detail and
    ability to think critically

    Process improvement mindset is
    essential

    Ability to work independently and
    meet deadlines

    Professional, dependable,
    trustworthy with a cooperative attitude

    Excellent communication skills
    including listening, speaking, teaching, and presenting

    Strong organizational and time
    management skills

    Top notch management and
    supervisory skills


    WORKING CONDITIONS
    Position requires long periods of sitting/standing at a desk
    and working on a computer.
    *Must be a resident of Texas.
