    Job Title: Mover at the University of Alabama

    • Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $ Midpoint: $17.26 (Hourly N1)
    • Department/Organization: Logistical Support
    • Normal Work Schedule: Varies
    • Job Summary: The Mover handles loading and unloading tasks, sets up equipment, and moves furniture. They also run errands, perform messenger duties, and may operate University vehicles.
    • Additional Department Summary: Responsibilities include assisting with moving personal and office items, assembling furniture and equipment, and setting up event spaces. The role requires attention to detail when handling valuable or historically significant items and ensuring ADA compliance during events.
    • Required Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED
    • Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be proficient in using tools such as jackhammers, drills, and forklifts. Forklift license must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Availability for emergency stand-by and passing a post-offer drug screen required.
    • Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in logistical support, customer service, inventory management, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
    • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in logistical functions or customer service roles.
