We're not that parts and service center that forgets the true meaning of service. And we're definitely not that big box store with a limited supply of on-the-job expertise. Russo Power Equipment is the premier power equipment and landscape supply dealer with seven facilities located throughout the Midwest

Position Summary:
The Service Porter's main responsibility is to ensure that equipment needing service is quickly and effectively transported within the service division or other divisions of Russo Power Equipment so that the customer's equipment may be completed and returned in an efficient manner. Our ideal candidate is able to take direction and think on their feet, requires little supervision to stay on task, and is able to drive a forklift. (We certify)

Responsibilities/Duties:

Greet customers and help unload incoming machines
Assembling the "to be completed" lineup of equipment
Checking/cleaning completed machines
Organizing/maintaining the complete, to be completed, estimated areas of the shop and transportation of equipment to other departments when necessary (i.e logistics, sales, fulfillment etc.)
Check customer tickets at the time of pick up
Matching tag numbers to all work orders and checking work orders from notes
Assisting walk-in traffic and ensuring the customer's needs are being met to the fullest of his/her ability
Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the department
Help customers load machines into trailers and trucks
Assist warehouse with shipments and deliveries
Follows proper safety procedures and standards
Other tasks as defined by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ability to take direction and think on your feet
Ability to drive forklift- we can provide
Knowledge of landscape equipment
Require little supervision to stay on task
Self-starter and motivated
Bilingual is a plus

Credentials and Experience:

No previous experience is necessary

Physical Demands

Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
May be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time
