    Description

    Position: Weld Specialist
    Type:     Evaluation to hire
    Location:     Redmond
    Pay:     $26.17 per hour
    Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4:00AM/5:30AM-3:00PM/4:00PM with occasional overtime and Friday work

    Responsibilities:

    - Locate weld locations on blueprints and other schematic drawings for sub-assembly or assembly.
    - Arrange parts and structures of common weldments, usually guided by patterns or fixtures. Verifies that layouts comply with drawings and symbols.
    - Loads, unloads, and places into position a variety of welding fixtures, depending on the production team needs.
    - Measures distances using precision devices. Verifies accuracy by comparing to measurement specifications.
    - Prepares welding equipment for proper usage. Verifies proper energy source and supplies. - Prepares the layout of equipment to perform as needed. Moves equipment in to proper location to maximize safety, function, and quality.
    - Assures that welds conform to quality standards and product specifications.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Requires a basic technical knowledge of MIG welding techniques and setup, verification, and operation of welding equipment.
    - Requires sufficient welding skill to comply with quality standards and product specifications.
    - Requires a basic knowledge of blueprint layouts and symbols.
    - Requires a working knowledge of quality principles, safe work habits, and continuous improvement methods.
    - Requires skill at resolving work station-related problems affecting equipment, production, or quality.
    - Requires sufficient human relations skill to convey information to and maintain harmony with team members.
    - Requires a working knowledge of production processes and equipment.
    - Requires the ability to perform common welds according to production and workflow requirements.
    - Requires the ability to perform standardized layouts of parts prior to welding, to accurately identify weld locations, and perform detailed measurements.
    - Requires the ability to pass the Weld Test.
