Prepare components of the federal and state income tax provision, including research around the tax accounting treatment of various transactions; uncertain tax position documentation; use of OTP; and compliance with SOX protocols. Support components of the federal and state income tax provision including preparation of account reconciliations. Respond to Information Document Requests as part of federal income tax audits and provide analysis to support tax positions on audit, as needed. Ongoing communication with Accounting, Legal and Treasury groups regarding various tax matters will be required. Participate in special projects, as applicable. -

The Benefits of working at BJ'sCritical Success FactorsTechnical Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Tax. Master's degree in Taxation or CPA strongly preferred. 0-3 years of tax experience with a "Big 4" CPA firm and/or large multinational company. Basic knowledge of federal and state income tax concepts and related compliance issues. Working knowledge of accounting theory to ascertain potential tax ramifications of business transactions. Experience with SAP, OneSource (OTP/OIT), SAP Fixed Asset experience, a plus.
Communication Skills:
Effectively communicates with and engages various levels of the organization verbally and in writing; produces clear, understandable documentation.
This role involves working with a diverse team of tax professionals and includes regular communications with individuals outside of the tax department, including Treasury, Legal, Accounting and the Controllership.
Management of Resources:
Allocates time and resources efficiently; continually seeks ways to improve individual efficiency. Demonstrates ability to be effective within a matrix environment.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and take ownership of projects, performing job responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $59,000.00.
