Job DescriptionQuality Control (QC) Inspector – Lehi, Utah
Are you ready to make an impact as a Quality Control Inspector in Lehi, Utah? We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to ensure the quality and precision of our structural steel fabrication. You will be inspecting the work that will build some of the largest Structural Steel projects in the US.
Key Responsibilities: The Quality Control Inspector must be capable of performing visual inspection, 100% welding inspection, shop production fit up inspection, tolerances per spec and customer requirements, basic knowledge of AWS D1.1, and/or structural steel fabrication inspection.
Precision Inspection: Verify that fabricated products meet contract specifications and quality standards.
Blueprint Mastery: Interpret blueprints and inspection procedures with precision.
Measuring dimensions of products to met standards: Use various instruments for accurate measurements utilizing instruments such as measuring tape, calipers, gauges, etc.
Documentation: Maintain QC logs and detailed reports.
Proactive Action: Promptly address production issues and quality concerns.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Welding Procedure standards.
Training Support: Assist in welder and fitting training when needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with production and management teams.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1–3 years in structural steel fabrication.
Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints.
Measurement Skills: Proficiency in using measuring instruments.
Visual Acuity: Pass an internal eye with or without exam for precision work.
Preferred Experience: Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
