    Summary:As an E-commerce Merchandising Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate product information, pricing, images, and assortments on that support the Avon Brochure selling schedule and digital merchandising plans for customers and representatives. You will support the Digital Merchandising team and spend approximately 70% of your time on data management and user acceptance testing, 20% on merchandising, and 10% on project management. The accurate execution and timely management of the bi-weekly merchandising plan, along with a deep understanding of the content management tools at your disposal, are essential for the success of the website.This is a 6-month contract role with a strong possibility of extension. It is a hybrid role working onsite and remotely, so the candidate must be local to NYC and willing to go into the office weekly as needed.
    Roles & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
    • Manage personal workload on web-based project management software (Asana)
    • Use the website's web-based product management system (ADMIN) to set up new product pages, edit existing product pages, sorting products based on required strategy, setup campaign promotions, and add/edit site content such as images and copy.
    • Use the website's web-based content management system (ADMIN) to support front-end merchandising (e.g. adding videos, linking product charts, blog links to product pages).
    • Create regular bi-weekly reports to support campaign setup using Excel and internal reports for New Product and Marketing sets reports.
    • Request images for all new products and unique sets, and review images for accuracy and approve before loaded to CMS.
    • Daily QA of live website and testing environments to assure site content is following plan and that promotions and checkout tools are functioning. This includes Digital Catalog tools (try on), Sweepstakes, coupon codes, and personalized content (customers vs Representatives). Making sure the front end matches the back end
    • Work with other teams such as Creative, Copywriting, Marketing, Merchandising and Data – ensuring no communication gaps.
    • Identify best practices and suggest strategies to improve the customer's site and shopping experience. Candidate needs to be comfortable with a lot of details and sometime monotonous work
    • Evening, weekend and holiday work occasionally required, as is a 24 hour business
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Exp. using Asana would be preferred.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's Degree is required for this role.
    • At least one year of experience in digital online merchandising focusing on the beauty industry is required.
    • Content management experience is highly important for this junior entry-level position.
    • The ideal candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • The candidate should also have proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and analytical tools such as Google Analytics.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and fast learner, familiar with digital tools and environments, possess excellent time management skills, and be willing to ask questions.
