    The FORVIS audit team provides assurance services that go beyond the compliance function. This team brings credibility to our client's financial picture, communicates information objectively and clearly, and provides insight to help clients improve their businesses. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for providing unmatched client service while managing audit engagements, working with associates and the engagement partner, as well as the client.

Dedication to client service is essential, including consistent positive interactions with clients and the demonstration of effective communication and people skills. The successful candidate will be an independent worker with excellent project management and time management skills.

    How you will contribute:
    • Effectively identify and evaluate audit risk, plan engagements and execute the designed audit plan to ensure audit engagements are completed with defendable files and documentation
    • Effectively review engagement work papers prepared by the audit team in a timely and professional manner
    • Manage implementation of new and emerging accounting standards
    • Provide clients with subject-matter expertise in the areas of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Industry Accounting Practices
    • Demonstrate effective professional writing and communication skills through drafting and reviewing client deliverables
    • Effectively manage concurrent engagements to meet deadlines without client and team disruption
    • Manage client relationships and engagement fundamentals (e.g., realization, billing, utilization, leverage)
    • Communicate frequently with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate parties remain informed and involved in project developments and conclusions
    • Develop a network of clients and industry resources and deploy marketing techniques to contribute to the growth of the team.
    • Assist in managing, developing, and coaching professional staff
    • Complete CPE specific to the nonprofit and public sector industries and GAGAS requirements

    • Ability to maintain professional client relationships
    • A high level of knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts
    • A desire to provide mentorship and training to other professionals
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
    • 5 years of relevant audit experience
    • CPA license
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge and experience with audits of nonprofit organizations and/or public entities
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge and experience with tribal entities
    • Experience with single audits
