Material Coordinator - East Moline, United States - Productive Resources
Description
Material Coordinator East Moline, IllinoisOversee and ensure that the inventory is correct and on time and identify problems and make suggestions involving production schedules.
Coordinate the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory. Work in larger and broader groups. May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
Coordinate for multiple departments the procuring, expediting, producing, and delivering material on time. Include managing the movement of rejected material to source. Recommend procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Find and correct root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilize Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audit material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability. Implement the output from the engineering release and change management process.
Requirements:
Ability to work 3rd shift, overtime, and weekend coverage.
Strong Work Ethic.
Ability to multitask and work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Problem solving skills.
Computer savvy.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP, or a similar inventory tracking system. As a condition of employment consideration, Productive Resources conducts pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test.
