    Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager (Chemicals) for our client located in Houston, Texas.This role is an in office position on a 9/80 work schedule.

    Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and 15+ years related experience required

    10+ years experience in process design required

    Base salary of $150k - $170k DOE plus bonus opportunity and excellent benefits

    This role is responsible and will lead the definition phase for capital projects and expense/maintenance projects for the product line. This includes developing projects from conceptual level through FEL stages to produce Cost Estimates and manage the Process Design Engineers and DCS engineers for the Product line.

    Responsibilities:

    Collaborates with Management & Leadership to prioritize projects

    Drives Projects to IFD status, applying concepts such as: Scope optimization, Fit-For-Purpose approach, Risk-Based decision making

    Contributes to capital Project work process development & Implementation

    Contributes to Project workflow / Roadmap roll-out, implementation

    Supports Mechanical Integrity activities.

    Supports Project Execution team with cost Estimates and project execution strategy

    Supports Process Tech / Eng Manager with content development, Design Practices, Tools and Methods

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and 15+ years of related experience

    Organic Chemistry background is a Plus.

    10+ years of process design experience.

    Experience managing multiple projects and changing priorities concurrently.

    Embedded site-based experience.

    Advanced skills in tools such as ChemCAD, Aspen, HTRI, etc

    Experience with Batch Reactor processes, campaign based operations and plant Dynamic behavior

    Experience developing H&MBs for steady state and Batch operation.

    Strong knowledge of major units of operation and how to select, design and specify:

    oHeat Exchangers, Pumps, L/V separators, Pressurized vessels including Storage Tanks

    oDistillation column Design, Control and specification

    oReactor basic design concepts, Reactor controls

    oInstrumentations design & Selection

    oFired Heater Design - Plus

    Strong knowledge of PHA, LOPA, SIL Systems and Protective Systems major components

    Knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA

    Presently have or ability to obtain TWIC Card
