Informatica EDC/Axon Administrator

Location: 701 W 51st St Austin, TX 78751

Duration: Until August 31, 2025 with potential extension

Key Information: Role involves 4 days remote work and 1 day onsite (Tuesdays)

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Developer role focuses on assisting in data transformations, particularly for master data management solutions in the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Center for Analytics and Decision Support's, Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team.

Additionally, familiarity with technical and business metadata management for Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Informatica Axon is essential.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and maintain technical and business metadata.
Loading gathered metadata into EDC and Axon.
Administering EDC and Axon systems.
Creating ETL processes in Informatica Power Center and Informatica Data Quality.
Developing data quality mechanisms and performance scorecards.
Engaging source systems for change management automation support.
Reviewing and managing security access roles for metadata consumers.
Identifying and documenting business processes.
Performing additional assigned tasks.

Essential Requirements:
Contribution to ETL process development, particularly for HHSC's Master Data Management (MDM) solution. Collaboration with cross-agency SMEs to address technical metadata gaps.

Involvement in establishing Metadata Management guidelines - focusing on change management and metadata accessibility.

Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to streamline project coordination.

Adherence to work schedules as per agency policies and completion of assigned duties. (10%)

Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in administering Informatica EDC and Axon.

Hands-on experience with ETL development using Informatica Power Center and Informatica Data Quality.

Familiarity with Oracle DDL and DML.

Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

Understanding of security and data quality metadata.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Capability to utilize metadata information.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, resolve conflicts, and negotiate effectively.

Establish and nurture productive relationships internally and externally.

Team player with good judgment and ability to work autonomously. Manage multiple projects efficiently.
