    Description

    **Job Title: Cycling Instructor**

    We are seeking highly motivated and experienced cycling instructors to join our team at Equinox in Washington DC. Our state-of-the-art facilities offer three distinct cycling experiences, including Road, Competition, and Beats.

    To ensure instructor success, we provide a comprehensive 7-week paid mentorship program called Equinox Cycle Pro. This program includes:

    • A 7-week paid training program to prepare instructors for their role
    • Ongoing feedback and support through weekly 2-hour sessions
    • Completion of 2 hours of online training consisting of video tutorials
    • A final audition to assess instructor readiness

    Upon completion of the Equinox Cycle Pro Program, instructors will be required to:

    • Deliver an exceptional fitness experience to our members
    • Modify class intensity as needed while adhering to the prescribed format
    • Maintain accurate exercise intensity levels throughout each class
    • Ensure classes begin and end on time
    • Provide technical/mechanical support to maximize member satisfaction
    • Teach regular classes while minimizing subbing duties
    • Communicate effectively with Group Fitness Managers regarding member feedback, equipment, scheduling, and operational status

    **Requirements:**

    • CURRENT CYCLING CERTIFICATION (Schwinn or Stages certifications preferred)
    • CURRENT CPR/AED CERTIFICATION
    • In-depth knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and ACSM Guidelines
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
    • Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personality

    **Compensation:** $65-$75 per class, or $17.50 per hour for non-class work
