    KAP Psychotherapist – Part-time – Contract Position

    Calliope Health is a psychedelic-assisted therapy clinic located in Bethesda, MD. We have more than 20 years of clinical experience in private practice treating psychological trauma, with a unique focus on Internal Family Systems Therapy. We are seeking an experienced masters-level-or-above psychotherapist to join our team

    Preferred candidates would have (but are not required to have):

    ● Training or deep personal experience with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

    ● Strong interest in and commitment to the field of psychedelic-assisted therapy

    ● A commitment and practice in integrating multiple trauma-informed therapies

    ● Interest and ability in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of providers

    ● Experience with clinical treatment of severe mental illness including social work

    (casework) and harm-reduction strategies

    ● Knowledge and experience with equitable and inclusive therapy practices

    ● Personal experience with non-ordinary states of consciousness that contribute to your

    own personal practice of healing

    ● Deep understanding of attachment psychology, the healing power of relationships, and

    family/couple therapy interventions

    Required Qualifications

    ● Masters Degree or Higher in the counseling disciplines (psychology, social work, counseling)

    ● 1+ years of experience in private practice or outpatient psychotherapy

    ● Active license in Maryland in the counseling professions

    ● Proficiency with Internal Family Systems

    ● Significant experience treating trauma

    ● Fluency with current DSM-5 criteria, but deep commitment to prioritizing client-centered care

    ● Strong functional knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices

    ● Maintain license void of personal and/or professional misconduct

    ● Be able to pass a background check including all educational requirements and licensing

    ● Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills

    ● Ability to work most of the time without direct supervision and practice autonomously as part of a highly collaborative treatment team

    ● Able to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide compassionate and

    effective client care

    ● Excellent familiarity with and self-discipline and standards for Electronic Health Records
