    Genuine Parts Company (GPC), established in 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia, is a top distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts. With over 10,000 locations globally, GPC employs about 50,000 people worldwide.

    Position Purpose:
    We are looking for top-tier talent to join the leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts – GPC. As the Principal Engineer in charge of building the next-gen BI & Analytics Platforms, you will work alongside a skilled team to enhance one of the world's largest automotive and industrial parts operations.

    This role offers a rare chance for a senior technologist to shape Genuine Parts Company's direction as a Principal Engineer. The focus is on leveraging advanced BI and Analytics technologies to facilitate data-driven decisions within the organization.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • 40% - Strategy & Planning:
      • Create a future technology vision for BI & Analytics Platforms
      • Act as a subject matter expert and data evangelist within the organization
      • Evaluate new tools & technologies to establish best practices and standards
      • Develop the architecture and technology roadmap for BI & Analytics Platforms
      • Communicate key information to stakeholders and collaborate with domain architects
    • 50% - Delivery & Execution:
      • Establish foundational platforms for BI & Analytics at scale
      • Deliver solutions supporting various BI and analytics use cases
      • Lead the development of analytics solutions including AI/ML and business intelligence
    • 10% - Team & Talent:
      • Evangelize and drive thought leadership across teams
      • Coach, mentor, and advise other engineers
      • Participate in learning activities and conferences

    Location:
    • Choose from three work locations: Duluth or Atlanta office in GA, or Dallas, TX
    • Flexible Work policy available for eligible employees

    Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
    • 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing analytics solutions
    • MS degree preferred
    • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and acquiring new skills
    • Expertise in BI tools, AI/ML, data management, Agile, and programming languages
    • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
