    Visiting Lecturer of Voice

    Position Details:
    This one-year faculty position is on-campus and in-person.

    The TCU School of Music seeks a talented performer and teacher for a one-year appointment as a Visiting Lecturer in the Vocal Arts division. The successful candidate will have experience teaching at the undergraduate level (experience teaching at the graduate level is preferred, but not required); the ability to maintain a high-quality voice studio of approximately 18 students; and potentially perform other duties suited to the candidate's abilities or as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. All voice types will be considered, but preference will be given to tenor/baritone/bass voices. The School of Music welcomes applicants from all backgrounds as we build an inclusive and diverse music community.

    This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position, but is limited to the academic year only. There is no expectation for this position to be renewed.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    - Masters Degree (DMA preferred)
    - Experience teaching in a collegiate setting at any level (experience teaching graduate students is preferred)
    - Experience teaching classical and musical theatre genres

    Department Details:
    The TCU School of Music is a comprehensive program, offering bachelors, masters, doctoral, and artist diploma programs in performance, education, piano pedagogy, composition, conducting, music theory, musicology, and more. With approximately 350 students and over 75 full-time and part-time faculty, the School of Music prides itself on the individualized attention and world-class training and education that students receive while they are here. The School of Music is also home to the TCU Music Center, featuring state of the art rehearsal spaces for our bands, orchestra, and percussion studio. The building also houses the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU, a 717-seat venue featuring beautiful architecture and stunning acoustics.
