About the job:

Red Hat is looking for a dynamic and adaptable Accountant to join the North America General Ledger Accounting team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accounting integrity and operational process effectiveness for many aspects of Red Hats financial statements including compensation and benefits, accruals, receivables, prepaids and monthly financial reporting. This position will be primarily focused on accounting with an emphasis on non-revenue general ledger activity. The role will focus on US GAAP and reporting needs North Americas various financial statements and reporting deliverables. This role will also provide support to other key areas including the Red Hat Finance team and business stakeholders.

? Record journal entries (compensation & benefits accruals, various manual accruals,
prepaids, and other various entries.)
? Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform analyses (monthly balance sheet reviews
for RHT finance leadership)
? Assess and account for transactions by applying to appropriate accounting standards
ensuring appropriate classification in the financial statement and recognition timing
? Assist in preparation of Census Bureau reporting
? Prepare month end reporting (presentation) for areas of responsibility
? Prepare supporting documentation and analysis for a broad range of accounting areas
? Support audit requests both external and internal
? Model professionalism and operate in the spirit of teamwork and trust; promote a
responsive, supportive and open environment.

? Undergraduate degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Accounting
? CPA or current CPA exam candidate strongly preferred
? 1-2 years accounting experience. Combination of public accounting and industry strongly
preferred
? Experience with ASC 842 is a plus.
? Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational
and time management skills
? Working knowledge of US GAAP
? Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with tools such as Tableau, KNIME, GL Wand,
Reports Wand, etc. strongly preferred.
? Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system a plus
? Passion for rapidly learning and applying new skills and technologies.
? Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

The salary range for this position is $74,900 - $ Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
