    Position Summary:

    The role of the Behavioral Health Counselor 2 is to provide support to our Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)/Behavioral Intervention team at UCI's Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND). The BEH Health Counselor will work under the direction of the assigned BCBA Case Supervisor. The ABA/Behavioral Intervention Division offers behavioral treatments using ABA strategies in clinical and community-based settings to individuals (18 months to 22 years of age) with ASD, other neurodevelopment disorders, or other health conditions that affects development. The BEH Health Counselor will be responsible for implementing the behavioral plan as outlined by the BCBA Case Supervisor.

    The expected pay range for this recruitment is $ $46.36 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $ $46.36 (Hourly Rate).

    Required:

    • 2 years' experience working with children and their families

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Demonstrates strong organizational skills

    • An approach to working with colleagues that enhances collaboration and team building

    • Ability to utilize computer application software: Windows, MS-Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point

    Preferred:

    • Theoretical knowledge of basic ABA principles and methodology

    • Experience as an Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT)

    • 2 years' experience working with special needs children and their families

    • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR)

    • Proficient in Spanish, and/or Vietnamese (oral and written)

    Special Conditions Required:

    • May work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
    • May be required to drive on occasion in order to perform routine or essential job responsibilities for the position.
    • May perform duties on-site, or in other locations, such as family homes, at schools, or other locations.
