    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
    • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
    • Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infection
    • Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
    • Collect and analyze data related to surgical outcomes and patient care
    • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
    • Provide support and assistance to patients before, during, and after surgery
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
    • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in OR, family care, or Endo
    • Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control practices
    • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
    Must live within 30 minutes for on call (2x per week)
