Who We AreWith three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, Front Range Community College (FRCC) is the state's largest community college.

We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Who You AreAs a part-time instructor in the Math Department you provide instruction in all levels of math, including developmental and/or transfer levels.

Course assignments will be made based on experience.

You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students.

Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.
You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.


SELECTION PROCESS:
This is an open applicant pool. Applicants will be contacted based on the needs of the College. Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate.

This is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.

SALARY:

The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching.

Part-Time Instructors will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Math Education. Education with Concentration in Math, Engineering, Physics, or Statistics.

Also allowed, a Bachelor's degree in any field, with at least 18 undergraduate credits in Calculus II or higher OR Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Astronomy, Aeronautics or Astrophysics.

MAT 103Required Education/Training & Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Math Education. Education with Concentration in Math, Engineering, Physics, or Statistics.

Also allowed, a Bachelor's degree in any field, with at least 18 undergraduate credits in Calculus II or higher OR Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Astronomy, Aeronautics or Astrophysics.

MAT 120, 121Required Education/Training & Work Experience:
Master's degree in one of several related degrees listed below.

Also allowed, a Master's degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below.

Tested Experience:

Part-Time InstructorsPart-Time Instructors are eligible for sick leave. You will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked. To learn more about sick leave, please visit System Procedure 3-60b.

RetirementFRCC employees contribute to Colorado PERA, which provides retirement and other benefits to employees of more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado.

PERA is the 21st largest public pension plan in the United States and is a substitute for Social Security; FRCC employees do not contribute to Social Security.

PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the pension.
