    Job Description

    TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I , Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Henry Lab, to support an exciting team focused on ferroptosis research in human health and disease. Will provide technical assistance to ongoing research projects by performing animal surgeries, animal husbandry, and in vivo tumor imaging (bioluminescence). Responsibilities will also include overseeing daily laboratory operations, including maintaining lab supplies and equipment, organizing lab spaces, and ensuring regulatory safety compliance.

    Job Requirements


    REQUIRED:

    bachelor's degree in biological sciences, biochemistry, or related area; at least two years of experience, which may include experience gained as an undergraduate; experience with murine animal models; willingness to work with animals; flow cytometry experience; proficiency with basic molecular biology lab techniques and operation of lab equipment; excellent problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; self-motivation; commitment to exceeding quality standards and producing accurate and high-quality work; meticulous attention to detail; practiced documentation skills; and awareness of basic safety issues and how to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
