    Under the general direction of the IS manager, the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer assists in developing and maintaining an integrated program to protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of all information resources of the health system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting all related IT security systems and components.

    • Must possess an information security related certification. CISSP or GIAC preferred. Will consider CISCO/SANS or Microsoft certifications. NTIA
    • Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility (including theories, principles, and concepts) normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Networking, Computer Science, MIS or closely related discipline, with 6 or more years of work experience.
    • Demonstrates experience in implementing, maintaining and upgrading IDS, Firewall configuration, email encryption and PHI filtering as well as Anti-Spam / Virus and content filtering necessary.
    • Cisco security appliance experience in the following: FTD, Cisco Defense Orchestrator, ISE, Agari. SecureX, Umbrella.
    • Experience conducting audits and assessments of network, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory security to identify and mitigate risks.

    Experience with SIEM Technology and SOC operations.

    • Experience in one or more of the following cloud service provider platform frameworks (AWS, Azure) and security controls.
    • Experience configuring and maintaining DMARC, DKIM and SPF.
    • Experience configuring Site to Site VPNs on Cisco Firewalls.
    • Experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and network monitoring.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST CSF and HITECH information security directives a plus.
    • Excellent written and oral communication, and analytical skills necessary to resolve problems.
    • Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license and be able to meet the insurance requirements.
