    Mead Lumber Company is hiring a Director of IT. Mead Lumber Company Inc, founded in 1910, is 100% Employee Owned, and was listed in the Lumber Building Materials Journal as the 18th largest Pro Contractor lumber/building materials retailer in the country. Mead operates 52 Lumber Yard, Retail, Truss Plant, and Component locations across 9 Midwestern states.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The IT Director is primarily responsible for managing the company IT structure and team.

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage company IT structure and team
    • Recommend and manage integration of projects through completion.
    • Evaluate current systems and recommend solutions.
    • Lead and develop team.
    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • College Degree preferred
    • Associate degree in IT
    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
    • Ability to lead and develop a team through change.
    • Ability to lead by example and create a culture that is customer oriented.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to recommend changes to drive business objectives.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, making clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
