Site Safety Technician - Commercial Construction

Jacksonville FL (St Johns)

AdKore has a need for a Safety Technician for a commercial construction project in the Jacksonville area. This is an entry to mid level position but requires an OSHA 30 (Construction) + some safety and construction experience.

Preference is for a local candidate within driving distance to St Johns. No per diem for this project.
Project is scheduled to last 6 months, minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday but must be willing to work overtime as needed.

The Safety Rep will report to the Site Safety Manager and site Supervisor and be responsible for overseeing safety compliance at the ground level.

Responsibilities

*Conduct Safety meetings, tool box talks, etc
*Monitors and documents the effectiveness of safety control measures.
*Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations
*Documents, observations/violations through notes, sketches, measurements, and photographs.
*Write accident, injury, and illness reports
*Assist with investigation of occupational incidents, accidents and injuries
*Observes crews at work and recommends improvements in safety
*Effective oral and written communication skills.
*Required Certification in OSHA 30 Construction
*Proficient use of computer and corresponding programs, Word, Excel, etc.
*Working knowledge of: safety programs, OSHA, commercial construction environment
