    Position Summary:


    The COSI Grants Director/Advisor will be responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing support services under the guidelines, policies, and mission of COSI and the Colorado Department of Higher Education in collaboration with Adams State University for the COSI Pre-Collegiate/Post Secondary, COSI Finish What You Started, and the COSI Matching Student Scholarship grants.

    COSI MSS - Responsible for year-end reporting, coordinating grant applications between TSC, partner counties and the ASU Foundation, and coordinating distribution of funds with ASU Financial Aid COSI CPP PreCollegiate/PostSecondary


    The Grants Director/Advisor will act as the pre-collegiate and post-secondary advisor, and be responsible for increasing persistence and assisting both ASU COSI Scholars and specific high school seniors to stay on track to graduate.

    The Grants Director/Advisor will help develop and facilitate support programming for all seniors. At Adams State University, the Grants Director will be responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing college support services.

    The Grants Director will be responsible for increasing persistence and assisting students to stay on track to graduate on time.

    The Grants Director/Advisor will help develop and facilitate college support programming throughout the student's college career.

    The Grants Director will also assist in the coordination and delivery of advising and support services to other partner agency scholars on campus who are not part of COSI.

    The Grants Director/Advisor will be responsible for supervising COSI Pre-Collegiate Advisors, Interns and work-study students.

    Specific Job Duties (Essential Functions and Responsibilities):

    Collaborate and coordinate closely with the partner institutions in such a way as to maximize value-added and avoid duplication. Family and Community Engagement
    Workshops:

    FAFSA, FAFSA Renewal (ASU & HSS) and College Applications (HSS)

    Network and develop partnerships with existing programs that will provide students with resources, academic support, and opportunities to boost co-curricular participation.

    Assist students in becoming independent learners by providing them with the knowledge and resources on how to navigate through a postsecondary system.

    Conduct outreach and one-on-one advising sessions with students.
    Monitor and track academic progress.
    Serve as a mentor, resource, liaison, and advocate for students.
    Promote essential skills and techniques including those related to time management, study strategies, and use of all resources.
    Provide career development and advising activities to increase awareness. Coordinate and oversee summer initiatives.
    Collaborate with on-campus/school partner contacts.
    Assist in the coordination of new student transition orientation on campus.

    Network and develop partnerships with existing programs that will provide students with resources, academic support, and opportunities to boost co-curricular participation.

    Intensive program and institution data tracking and reporting of student progress.

    Serve as a mentor, resource, liaison, and advocate for COSI, GEAR UP, DF, and DSF, student enrollment, transition, persistence, degree plans, and degree attainment.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum
    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in education or related field and 5 years related experience
    Knowledge of financial aid/scholarships and college admission requirements and processes Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations
    Ability to develop strong partnerships and connections with internal and external support services. Data management experience
    Self-starter & self-directed
    Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
    Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Results oriented
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite

    Preferred Qualifications :

    Master's degree in education or related field
    Experience working in a higher education environment
    Bilingual, Spanish preferred
    Knowledge and experience working with DREAMers (ASSET, DACA, and Undocumented students) in a Higher Education setting.

    Salary:

    $52,000 to $58,000. Adams State offers a competitive benefits package.
