Contributes to Winchester Physician Associates' mission by aiding in providing top-notch, secure clinical care. • Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred: National Registration of Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA)
LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Identifies, greets, transports and/or escorts patients to ensure they feel welcomed and at ease.
• Records vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) and gathers patient history and medication list. Monitors patients, documents observations, and reports findings to licensed clinician and/or physician.
• Supports the nurse, physician, and/or other licensed clinician during patient visits and care, which may involve various procedures like:
o Preparing patients for visits by assisting with attire and transferring to examination table/chair.
• Sanitizes and readies the examination room or other patient areas between appointments, maintaining a clean, sanitized, and inviting atmosphere.
• Provides administrative assistance to the practice as backup or when needed periodically
