The Mechanical Engineer will be a member of the Engineering team and play a key role in the development and testing of all subsystems.

Core Accountabilities and Essential FunctionsLead and/or support the development and operation of subsystems such as pressure control, thermal control, and air and water subsystems.

Utilize the full spectrum of iterative development, rapid prototyping, design, analysis, test, and manufacturing techniques to create efficient systems.
Participate in design reviews internally and participate in reviews with colleagues and suppliers.
Ownership of product delivery timeline through conception, design, integration, and recovery.
Required Education and Experience4-year degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and prototyping of mechanical, thermal, or fluid systems. MS Degree a plus.
Required QualificationsAbility to work well in an integrated, fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated experience in design engineering using CAD (NX, SOLIDWORKS, or Onshape preferred) for manufacturing, and integration exercises.
Experience interfacing with manufacturing facilitiesFamiliarity with measurement and control systems.
Familiarity with scripting language such as MATLAB or Python.
Ability to perform one or more basic structural, thermal, and CFD analyses.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
