    About the Position:
    We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an HVAC Parts and Supplies Buyer Trainee.

    This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to learn and grow within the procurement function of our HVAC company.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    Vendor Management:
    Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for HVAC parts and supplies.
    Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.


    Order Placement:
    Collaborate with other departments to understand their parts and supplies requirements.
    Place orders for HVAC components, ensuring accuracy in specifications and quantities.


    Inventory Management:
    Monitor inventory levels of HVAC parts and supplies to prevent shortages or excess stock.
    Work towards optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing carrying costs.

    Facilitate returns to vendors of nonmoving inventory Price Negotiation:
    Participate in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms

    Quality Assurance:
    Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased HVAC parts and supplies meet the required standards.
    Address any quality issues with suppliers and seek resolution.


    Market Research:
    Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new products related to HVAC systems.
    Provide insights and recommendations based on market research to enhance the procurement process.


    Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and agreements.
    Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost savings and supplier performance.


    Qualifications, Attributes, Education, and/or Experience:
    Working towards a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
    Strong interest in procurement and supply chain processes.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the HVAC industry.


    Computer Skills:
    Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Willingness to learn and utilize procurement software and tools as required for the role.
