    General Job Description – duties to include:


    • Bid Administration
    • Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction
    • Ability to navigate Client online portals, cloud storage systems, etc.
    • Solicit bid package and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors
    • Transmit addenda and other bid information to subcontractors
    • Ensure that we will have the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day
    • Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors
    • Assist in drafting, modifying and completing GC bid worksheet for each project
    • Assist in establishing general conditions budget for each project
    • Assemble bid documents on GC form or Owner-provided form(s) and include a thorough listing of qualifications, exclusions, allowances, etc. Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline
    • Project Knowledge
    • Assist in reviewing bid requirements with Director of Procurement
    • Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned
    • Assist in the development of RFI's and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage
    • Assist in creating bid lists that fit scope of job, ensuring that we have the right subs for the project
    • Minimize exclusions
    • Perform take-offs for direct labor and material items purchased by and/or performed by GC
    • OST On Screen Takeoff or Planswift Digital takeoff software experience a plus
    • Do spot take-offs to verify the accuracy of proposals received by vendors
    • Check all vendor proposals to ensure inclusion of all RFI / Addenda received and distributed during the bid process.
    • Attend pre-bid walkthroughs with clients
    • Coordinate and attend pre-bid walk-throughs with GC vendors
    • Subcontractor management
    • Has existing relationships with Tri-state subcontractors base a plus
    • Seeks & qualifies new subcontractors
    • Holds subcontractors to company standards
    Expectations

    • Expertise in reading plans including site, architectural, structural and MEP
    • Must have knowledge of building codes; city, state and federal
    • Experience in commercial/retail projects; new construction, renovations, site work, etc.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent follow-up skills
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated, attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, quick adaptation to sschedule changes and creative problem solving
    • Develop and maintain expertise in company-utilized software including MS Office & Project, ProCore.
    • Contribute ideas that will enhance the productivity and profitability of the company.
