    Job Description

    Job DescriptionSalary:

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    · Utilize MIG/TIG Welding Machines to complete fit-up, weld and finish stages of build as required

    · Independently operate weld equipment; set machines correctly to produce quality welds

    · Work effectively to ensure weld jobs meet production schedule

    · Complete quality documentation (frequently)

    · Work with other departments to ensure on time delivery and product quality

    · Use bar code scanners to accurately apply direct labor to job orders

    · Comply with all safety standards required for the production area

    · Comply with all safety standards regarding safety apparel and safety equipment

    · Ability to work around/near industrial metal equipment including machinery such as plasma table, hand plasma cutters, MIG welders, and TIG welders

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    · Maintain an organized and clean work area (daily), including

    · Route drawings to the next department

    · Other duties as assigned

    EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

    · This role routinely uses equipment associated with sheet metal fabrication including, but not necessarily limited to:

    o MIG and TIG welding machines

    o Air &/or electric grinders

    o Overhead cranes

    o Forklifts

    o Horizontal & vertical saws

    o Drill press

    o Belt sander

    o Barcode scanner

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED:

    · Minimum of 2 years sheet metal or like manufacturing experience

    · Ability to interpret and analyze bill of materials, drawings, etc., that are critical to machining and/or manufacturing

    · Ability to work proficiently with basic math
