- 1.0 position. 40 hours per week
- 10 hour work days
- Inpatient and Outpatient position
- This role will primarily support heart failure with some general cardiology.
- Position includes weekend rounding in the hospital approximately 3-4 weekends per year for general cardiology.
- EMR: Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- New graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or ICU.
- Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
