Position Summary
Team Leader supports a three-shift 24-hour operation within the Customer Service Center. This position is responsible for the defined shift they are on providing support and hands on direction to the Operations Coordinators for each the defined shifts. This position is hands on with the shift operations that interfaces with multiple customers and over 400 partner carrier drivers as they pick up and deliver services within the supply chain needs as defined by our customers scope of work. The Customer Service Center is a central point of VASCORs logistics operations where operational plans are implemented, tracked, monitored, problems solved, and supply chain needs are met to exceed our customers expectations.
Position Responsibilities:
Meet or exceed corporate safety, productivity, and budget goals
Ensure VASCOR standardized processes are followed
Monitor routes to ensure time standards are being met
Report abnormal conditions to defined personnel and escalation groups
Identify problem areas and define countermeasures to ensure solutions through Kaizen activity
Provide training, direction and coaching to Operations Coordinators
Approve timesheets and conduct performance reviews for direct reports
Communicate effectively with Customers, OTR drivers, Partner Carriers, and Suppliers
Monitor all driver exceptions that occur on the defined shift
Establish good working relationships with customers, both internal and external
Customer Satisfaction
Meet defined arrival schedules with zero missed unloads caused by VASCOR
Overtime as needed
Saturday work as needed based on Customer work schedule
Essential Skills and Experience
G.E.D. or High School Diploma.
Strong PC skills (Word and Excel)
Demonstration of strong analytical problem-solving skills
Fast paced environment
Strong customer focus for both internal and external customers.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
