Valley Fine Foods is currently seeking qualified candidate(s) to fill the position of
AM Shift Material Handler: 6 a - 230 p, OT and Weekend as needed
$20/hour – Full-time
Operates forklift and RF scanners to ensure that all materials moving in and out of production are processed properly. Maintain cleanliness of all warehouse, freezer, and cooler locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure production floor has all materials needed to run current days production based on schedule and BOM
- Maintain accurate inventory coming in and out of production by counting and scanning all materials into proper WMS locations
- Print daily Production Order Picking List
- Pull ingredients and material necessary for the production schedule, noting any deviations from the schedule.
- Respond quickly and accurately to all production material requests
- Move and scan items from receiving dock into proper inventory location
- Pull all items by FEFO and communicate any lot and quantity discrepancies
- Retrieve and put away production finished good pallets into designated storage locations
- Print inventory bar code tags
- Ensure all warehouse, Freezer, and Cooler locations are clean, organized, and SQF audit ready at all times
- Assist with physical inventory counts
- Fill out required daily documentation and turn in to Warehouse Manager at end of shift
- Rotate and consolidate inventory to make room for upcoming receiving
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Shipping & Receiving team on the docks as needed
- Complete and follow HACCP, CGMO, GMO, SOPs, and SSOPs
- Follow personal hygiene policy and other company safety policies/requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Read and write basic English
- Basic math skills
- Willing and able to be certified as a forklift operator
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 1+ years forklift experience
- 1+ years experience in food manufacturing plant
