Overview:

The Manager Anesthesia Services manages and directs the work of professional and support personnel in the anesthesia departments across the organization.

This position ensures that standard anesthesia policies and guidelines are in compliance so that standards of care and practices are met to safely treat and care for patients.

Responsibilities:
Works with the Director Anesthesia Services to create and implement policies to establish the guidelines of the department.
Manages the staffing and work performance of professional and support personnel to ensure operational needs are met.
Ensures that the standards of care and practice are met to satisfy patient care needs and operational efficiency goals.

Oversees and manages the operational budget for the department to determine the reasons for variances and that the department is equipped with ALL necessary resources to provide the utmost care to patients.

Recommends process improvements to streamline the care of patients as well as meet financial targets for the organization.

Reports extreme issues related to staffing or work performance of personnel to the Director of Anesthesia Services for operational success.

Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; graduate of approved School of Nurse Anesthesia

EXPERIENCE: Required: 5 years


LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Required:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state
Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credential
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
