Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) office's Natural Gas team This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards
- Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
- Our Mechanical teams work on a wide variety of projects, including:
- Transmission & Distribution Pipeline Design
- Metering and Regulation Stations
- Remote Valve Sites
- Regulatory Compliance
- Natural Gas Generation & power plant design
- Process Control Design and Integration
Qualifications
- An ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026.
