    Summary

    Rosenbaum & Rosenbaum P.C. is seeking an organized, proactive, and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our amazing team. This part-time role will work alongside the Worker's Compensation attorney and provide crucial support on daily tasks to help build the Worker's Comp team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the legal field and is great for someone who may be considering a career within the legal field. Recent graduates and law students are encouraged to apply

    Key Responsibilities

    • Obtain necessary authorizations for medical records as well as the medical records.
    • Assemble and send medical records packages to insurance companies.
    • Help maintain positive client relations through strong communication and professional conduct and frequent follow-ups to get an assessment of treatment status.
    • Discuss new cases with prospective clients over the phone and complete detailed intake for all new cases.
    • Answer phone calls, take messages and transfer calls accordingly.
    • Assist with data entry and any additional day-to-day administrative tasks.
    • Provide general administrative support to the attorneys and perform additional duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining case information.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
    • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.


    Education and/or Experience

    • Associate's degree required but Bachelor's degree is preferred.
    • Previous administrative experience is preferred but not required. Legal experience is a plus

    This role is part-time and is on-site at our New York City office in downtown Manhattan.
