    Working under minimal supervision and using standardized processes, ensures integration, scheduling, monitoring, problem resolution, and output control of applications in a multi-platform, 24x7 data center operations environment is completed.

    Participates in the integration and maintenance of automation procedures and assists in analyzing existing and new production applications to insure schedule and procedural efficiencies.

    Performs processing analysis related to effective utilization and efficient, accurate, and timely computer processing based upon production application resource consumption behaviors including the identification and resolution of service-level problems and mission-critical tasks.

    This role will be responsible for supporting all US-based BHE platforms. This role will be responsible for supporting all US-based BHE platforms.

    Monitors, manages, performs basic scheduling, reports and troubleshoots batch processing jobs utilizing automated scheduling software in mainframe and open systems environments.

    Investigates and works closely with Production Control Technician 2/3, applications and/or technical support staff to resolve errors.
    Participates in the recommendation of automation and scheduling solutions to meet Production Control need.
    In addition to the above, Production Control Technician 2 responsibilities include:

    Investigates and works closely with applications and/or technical support staff, in the event, error conditions require corrective actions to be taken.

    Evaluates, recommends and implements automation and scheduling solutions to meet stakeholder needs. Recommends and assists with implementation of automation and scheduling solutions to meet production control needs.
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree. Current Microsoft certified systems engineer or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire, or equivalent experience.
    Knowledge and experience working with client/server, voice and data network, mainframe z/OS and applications environments.
    Basic knowledge of ControlM/EM software or other similar automated scheduling software.
    Basic knowledge of MS Windows, Novell, SQL, Unix, CISCO (voice & data) working environments.
    Knowledge of information technology terminology, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.
    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
    Availability to work any shift including holidays in a 24 x 7 x 365 work environment.

    In addition to the above, the Production Control Technician 2 requirements include:
    Two years of experience in a technology production control operations center role.
    Intermediate-level knowledge of client/server, voice and data network, mainframe z/OS operating system and subsystems and applications environment.
    Intermediate-level knowledge of ControlM/EM software or other similar automated scheduling software.
    Intermediate knowledge of MS Windows, Novell, SQL, Unix, CISCO (data & voice) working environments.
    Strong knowledge of information technology terminology, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.
    Availability to work any shift including holidays in a 24 x 7 x 365 work environment.
