Our work depends on Software Engineer Senior joining our team to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTResponsible for conducting or participating in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software.
Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirementsProvides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software componentsDesigns, implements, and integrates software applications or performs software engineering tasksUtilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environmentEnsures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processesMitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projectsReviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test resultsDemonstrates advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniquesPossesses knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipmentRequires a proficiency in the use of one or more web technologiesWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or a Master's Degree with 10 years of experience
Required Skillset:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development and designProficiency in the use of one or more web technologies such as XAML (Silverlight, WPF), .NET Framework, SQL, , JavaScript, Shell, HTML, PHP, etc.
