    Description

    Position Description

    Join a renowned health institution as an Endocrinology Professor. In this position, you will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service. You'll be responsible for educating endocrinology fellows, internal medicine residents, physician assistants, and medical students on topics of endocrinology, diabetes, and obesity medicine. Additionally, you will provide inpatient consults, outpatient medical care, and establish a medical practice. As an Endocrinology Professor, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow your career while changing the future of healthcare.

    Major Functions:

    • Teach endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism to medical professionals and students
    • Provide lectures and teaching sessions to endocrinology fellows, internal medicine residents, physician assistants, and medical students
    • Provide inpatient consults and outpatient medical care
    • Establish a medical practice of endocrinology, diabetes, and obesity medicine
    • Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
    • License to practice medicine in the State of Texas or eligible for Texas medical licensure
    • Three years post-graduate training in primary care medicine and subspecialty training in endocrinology and in obesity medicine from accredited ACGME training programs
    • Board certified or eligible for certification in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and obesity medicine

    Occasional Duties

    • Maintain or develop an academic research program in the field of endocrinology and obesity medicine
    • May conduct inpatient internal medicine teaching rounds
