Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Part Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver strong customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related policies.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; report unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.

Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications and assist with emergency response activities as directed.

Control entry and movement through checkpoints as assigned, including verifying identification and authorizations, monitoring visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.

Document security-related incidents, patrol findings, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic systems; communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
